Location
The hostel is conveniently located just 4 km from the railway station and 25 km from the airport. Airport buses run frequently, and you can get off at Guwahati club to transfer to another bus or shared auto. Buses also depart from the RBI stop outside platform 1 at Guwahati railway station.

Arguably the best hostel on Guwahati! Clean rooms with very well maintained washrooms, cozy common areas and an amazing porch area where you can chill at any time of the day. Perfect place for solo travellers and groups. I've met some vibrant personalities in my stays here and it's been a fun experience.
I had such a great time at Gibbons Backpackers and cannot wait to go back there again. On my Assam trip I passed through Guwahati a couple of times and each stay was so much fun, a lot of like minded backpackers. The host gave me a lot of advices, he is very knowledgeable on the whole region and made sure I felt at home.

Its a home for me now. For last 2.5 months, I have been backpacking around north east india and everytime, I want to take a break, i reach Gibbon. Its definitely a home now. Mohabbat Bhai is moody but really very sweet. Recommend to book it in advance before reaching otherwise you won't get the bed. Vibe here is soo soo cool. Amazing people I met. Guwahati is special because of Gibbon. ♥️
